WHAT WE DO
Carbon Project Development
ClimeCo develops and invests globally in greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction projects that deliver measurable, lasting impact. Through our diverse portfolio of carbon credits (also known as offsets or Environmental Attribute Certificates), we help organizations achieve their decarbonization goals and build a diverse portfolio with the right mix of project types, volumes, and geographies. Every ClimeCo project is built with integrity in mind, a clear activity change, a well-defined baseline, and meaningful community benefits. We ensure methodologies are robust, transparent, and verifiable, channeling critical funding to decarbonization opportunities. With deep technical expertise and a trusted global network, we provide high-quality credits and tailored strategies that help our partners achieve credible results.
Since 2009, our projects have reduced, avoided, or removed over 40 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions – comparable to taking more than 9.3 million gasoline-powered passenger cars off the road for a year.
Industrial & Technology-Based Solutions
ClimeCo was built on a strong industrial and technology-based (tech-based) foundation, producing our first verified carbon credit in 2010 from a nitrous oxide (N2O) abatement project. High-quality, emerging tech-based projects channel funding toward technologies that enable industrial decarbonization and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) which would not otherwise occur. In doing so, they address both long-lived greenhouse gases and super pollutants, supporting economy-wide emissions reductions.
Tech-based credits foster innovation by scaling capital-intensive technologies such as alternative cement production, biochar production, and carbon capture and utilization or storage (CCUS). These enable the hardest-to-abate sectors – vital in our day-to-day lives – to reduce emissions, strengthen food and energy security, and support a more resilient built environment.

Nature-Based Solutions
Protecting, stewarding, and restoring ecosystems is essential in the fight against climate change and the foundation of our nature-based solutions (NBS) projects. Beyond sequestering and storing carbon, preserving or restoring ecosystems creates co-benefits that support biodiversity, clean water, and local livelihoods – providing economic opportunities for the local communities and indigenous peoples who rely on these resources. These co-benefits are at the heart of any high-quality NBS project; ensuring communities share in the positive outcomes is a key priority at ClimeCo. Because NBS accounting can be complex, we prioritize long-term protection for all our projects so benefits are realized across decades.

Expanding Carbon Project Pathways to Drive Market-Ready Solutions
Credible, high-value carbon projects begin with strong technical foundations. Because many impactful activities fall outside existing frameworks, we work to develop credible methodologies and pathways to bring these solutions to market – enabling monetization of emission reductions as environmental attribute sold either inside a supply chain (insets) or outside a supply chain (offsets). ClimeCo develops mechanisms that help organizations manage and optimize carbon as an asset. By broadening access to verifiable emission reductions and environmental attribute creation, we unlock investment and accelerate progress toward global climate targets.
Our Carbon Project Development services help our clients evaluate, develop, and monetize lower-carbon business processes to create value while advancing the energy transition. We bring a market-based approach to make sustainable solutions possible and economical for producers and consumers. We serve diverse project types, from nature-based to heavy industry, because they are all part of the solution.
