We are proud to collaborate with music industry leader Warner Music Group (WMG) to advance sustainability within the sector. WMG recently commissioned ClimeCo to conduct a comprehensive, first-of-its-kind, cradle-to-gate Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for their Classic Black 140g vinyl record. WMG has released the results of this assessment, providing a transparent, data-driven look at the environmental footprint of vinyl records.
This LCA, conducted in accordance with ISO 14040 and 14044 standards, provides an in-depth analysis of the greenhouse gas (GHG) impacts of vinyl records from raw material production to packaging, moving beyond high-level estimations and offering a data-driven foundation for WMG to make informed sustainability decisions. The assessment has undergone rigorous review by an independent third party to ensure transparency and credibility.
