Carl manages the ongoing credit generation process for ClimeCo’s N2O abatement projects, ensuring all required standards are met. His role involves client engagement, handling communications, and addressing client needs. He coordinates discussions with the Climate Action Reserve (CAR) to address verifier findings, resolve variances, and clarify protocols. Carl drafts protocol change requests and works closely with project sites to resolve DAS-related issues and ensure they meet all protocol requirements. He also updates and maintains project information in the CAR software to ensure accuracy and consistency. Carl‘s background includes project management, energy auditing, and environmental data acquisition for utility and petrochemical industries.
Before ClimeCo, he worked at ESC Spectrum, where he developed and successfully implemented a standard project management process, implemented their DAS software at client sites, and managed projects for the software implementation team.
Carl holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University, where he performed research in energy modeling of HVAC systems. He also has a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, playing board games with friends, and playing the piano.
