Emily serves as Senior Project Manager, Nature-Based Solutions. Her work focuses on terrestrial and coastal reforestation, mangrove restoration, and improved forest management projects, emphasizing social and biodiversity benefits.
In graduate school at Northern Arizona University, she studied the influence of a warming Arctic climate on Alaskan permafrost carbon stocks. She participated in outreach events sharing climate and ecosystem science with students, the public, and other scientists. She also studied soil science and agronomy at West Virginia University’s Organic Agriculture Research Farm, among the largest certified organic research farms dedicated to teaching, research, and outreach. Before joining ClimeCo, she worked as an environmental consultant in soil and groundwater remediation and is a licensed Soil Scientist in North Carolina.
Emily has a Master of Environmental Science and Policy from Northern Arizona University, a Master of Science in Agronomy from West Virginia University, and a B.S. in Earth Science from Syracuse University.
