Oyut specializes in environmental monitoring and sustainable development, focusing on nature-based solutions and climate resilience. With a strong background in spatial science and environmental economics, she contributes to evaluating climate risks and implementing sustainable practices.
Before joining ClimeCo, Oyut held roles at NASA and The Nature Conservancy, where she developed remote sensing models for flood risk assessment and analyzed carbon sequestration potential in reforestation projects across the United States.
Oyut holds an M.S. in Geographic Information Science and a B.A. in Economics with a double major in Geography, graduating with honors from Clark University. Her research includes five peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Nature, exploring topics like tropical deforestation, conservation finance, and the efficacy of nature-based solutions.
Oyut enjoys traveling to discover new places, playing the ukulele, and diving into sci-fi literature.
